Hey guys,
Some of these things I really should have spoken about in the last update I did, but eh I forgot. There are a few things that need to be said a few advertisements and for some of you out there, some opportunities.
This week is Halloween as you know, and we have for you a Wallpapre in our donations links that we think you'll like. Especially if you like green. In the spirit of Halloween, the UJ crew have once again dressed up, this time we have united to bring Light to this dark time. We will be the guiding light in the darkness.
In brightest day or blackest night,
No evil shall escape our sight,
Let those who worship evils might,
beware my power
GREEN LANTERN LIGHT!
Enjoy :P
As you may have noticed if you are registered with UJ on Live Journal or My Space (See the links page for addresses) we havn't updated there for a while. Now there is a reason for that as you may already know things were getting a bit hectic and things got forgotten, thet were two of those things.
…
I never said it was a good reason… Anyway, I went on there last night and someone posted a link to a page of a new up coming artist, whos a singer and pianist. I've listened to all the stuff he has on his myspace page and wandered around a bit, and I think this guy is great. Some amazing melodies and a great voice! I recomend taking a look.

You may have heard it mentioned about a secret forum known only to the artists and writers, locked away in a pocket dimension far below the coffee shop, in a concrete bunker only accessible by Boom tube. However the secrets are about to be unveiled.
The Forum is called Ultima-Java: Writers Block. There we congregate and collaborate on the Ultima-Java Comic and the many other projects that we are undertaking. It's a very heavy job and it just got heavier. That is why we need you!
We are looking for Artists, more than anything we need artists!
Qeeko is doing an amazing job with the updates, considering the times we've been having recently, and the trauma that goes with. However, and not to her discredit, we need to do better. We need more people working on the other projects in order to get them running and ready for when they get posted. So here's one of the opportunities for the readers.
Ultima-Java: Writers Block
Go there and sign up, we have a few problems with bots so I've got the forum set to Admin Activation only. This means that you need an admins approval before you can log in the first time. A simple procedure. All I ask is that you sign up using your REAL NAME, to make it easier to credit the work, and leave a comment in the section called Recruitment Drive, located in Non-Registered Users.
Second Opportunity!
Are you a writer and artist? DO you have your own comic but haven't got anywhere to post it? Or are you posting your work on Deviant art?
We are looking for whole creative teams to come under our title to post their comics alongside Ultima-Java. As a creative team you will have the ability to share with the other creative teams and find a place for yourself somewhere in the Ultima-Java Universe. This opportunity isn't going to come every day of the week, right now we are opening our doors, X-Factor/American Idol style!
It's the same address as above:
Ultima-Java: Writers Block
Please don't hesitate to sign up, ALL comics entered will be considered. Good luck to you all!
I've noticed recently there has been a spike in UJF activity, which is great, but I don't want to loose that. I am personally inviting all our not so regular readers to sign up to the Ultima-Java Forum. (Ideally if you are in UJ:WB you should be a member of the forums too) So come on lets get this Forum the way it was a year ago!
Click this link to be taken there now, or click the link on the left hand side in the navigation bar!

Calvin Ball is restarting there will be a clean out of the Battle Royal and Tournament threads. New games like "who would win in a fight" but done in a very different way! If you enjoy having RP's, games and comics then you'll enjoy Ultima-Java Forums: Year Two!
Yes that's right, in November UJ will be TWO years old from when it was first created! I don't have to think hard about it to know it doesn't feel like two years have already passed.
Lets hope the second Birthday brings new life to the website and forum, and more importantly, that in Year Two we succeed as an organization of affiliated comics!
Thanks all for your support!
God Bless you all!
