Well folks it’s finally happening! After years of waiting to get to see Qeeko again, I applied for my Working Holiday Visa tonight (one year) and I got a reply within moments telling me that my visa was approved!

In less than a month I’ll be winging my way to Australia, for the minimum of 1 year! If all goes well, even longer!

Here it is, finally I get my freedom!

Andy

Recently we’ve been delving into the Multiverse. With the recent introduction of the Forumverse (or Universe 3) I decided it was time we rehosted the Original comics. Unlike the current Continuity comics, the story of the characters followed on directly after the disolving of Slightly Out of Order. We weren’t even trying to hide it. At that point we saw ourselves as a break away or spin off group and our characters simply carried on after the horror that they went through.

It was only a few months into this series that I realized things needed to be changed, there was too much emphasis on the negative side of what was going on, and so we rewrote Ultima-Java. To this day it retains a lot of the original story, however in the newest UJ: History, we are looking in more depth at what happened Pre-Ultima-Java, and the difference between the comic and what happened in real life is now much greater.

However, it was that time that shaped us into the people who created Ultima-Java, it was those experiences that brought us to the point of knowing what we wanted to do. So we kept the stories, hidden away.

Now with the opening up of the Multiverse, we are happy to bring back the original Ultima-Java scripts, as Ultima-Java: Universe 2! Maybe, we might visit U-2 in the future with some new scripts. Untill then please enjoy the archive.

As the story of Ultima-Java goes. In the begining there was a single Universe, overtime that Universe was manipulated by evil, a being of pure chaos, untill there was no life in the Universe only Chaos and Order. It was the Lord of Order in that Age who discovered the power of Infinity Majicks, and drawing on this most powerful of attacks The Lord of Order deemed that it was better that the silent Universe be destroyed so that another could be built in it's place. Knowing that this was the ultimate cost, and that he would perish too, he used his majick to destroy the Chaos incarnate.

From that destruction came a new Universe, perfectly balanced in Good and Evil, Chaos and Order. When the first sentient being achived freewill and imaginination the psionic cry of creative life pulsed through the universe and it shattered. Each piece becoming a Universe in it's own right within the Multiverse.

Ultima-Java takes place in U-1, and now we have opened up U-3. The Forumverse!

In the new comic section on the forums, YOU the members of the forums get to decide what happened in Universe 3. You write the history, you write the future, you tell the story! The Forumverse is YOUR Ultima-Java!

Sign up to the forums and write your own destiny!

Wow, don’t the new pages look awesome? Another fantastic piece of artwork from Qeeko. I this chapter I was hoping that I would be ableto delve into the character of Andy frogman a bit more, and get some of the mysteries of the Universe revealed.

So far we’ve looked at the Corridor, a waypoint that encircles the entire galaxy.

The Armoury Ring, a majick (thats how it’s spelt here) artifact that creates a subspace link between the point of origin, that being where the swords are stored, to the ring, causing the swords to materialize and become accessable to Andy in a summoning circle anywhere in the galaxy. (The August Donation Wallpaper is an image of this.)

Now we’re looking at the Corridor Doors. As you may have guessed the Corridor is only accessabel to someone with a Key Rune, like Andy has in page 2. In the latest update it’s explained how the Doors are accessed. Every inhabitable planet is given a doorway from the corridor. For those with the knowledge of building the Temples the doorway leads to locked locations around the planet. However if there is no Temple the Doorway will open in a random location.

More as the news comes in :P

-Other News-

After a long time of trying to get this system right, The Subforums are up and running! This helps keep the forum looking tidy, and also makes it more compact and easyer to view.

The new Donation Wallpaper for August is up and awaiting your generous donations, remember Ultima-Java is kept alive by you! Not a single Penny of what you give to support us will end up in our pockets, it’s puerly used for Webserver rent and maintenance.

If you can’t support us with your donations, you can support us by vote for UJ:History after you’ve read, every vote you can give us raises us higher on the Comic Charts, and gets us noticed by more and more people. Also by signing up to the forums will give you access to more information about the comic, and about other things UJ:CM related, as well as giving you access to a friendly community!

Hope to see you all on there soon!

Andy

What the hell have I been doing?
Ya know, I said I would keep people up to dat on the events and things of Ultima-Java and the forum, promised that I would make more of an effort to keep this page updated. However I’m failing miserably, so here’s my attempt to retrieve a little of that dignity.

Hey there,

To everyone returning welcome back! To everyone who's new here, where hav you been the shows started! Come on inside quickly before you catch a death of cold out here, in the wilds of internet land!

I've been back to the place where all this started, a forum known as Slightly Out of Order, some of you might know it. Well anyway, when I got there it was like walking through an old house that you used to live in as a child, now it's all dark(-er than usual in this case) and borded up, but as you walk around you see familliar things and the memories come rushing back.

I thought that when I got there, that all the bad memories of the split would come to me, and thats why I was there to finally face my demons after all these years. However, I didn;t have to worry about any demons, theonly thing I could remember was the great times that we had on that forum before it all went wrong. It was like a golden age for us all.

I came back to Ultima-Java and realized I'd messed up big time. You see the problem with SOoO was that the group didn;t click together, maybe it was too big with too many simmilar personalities, most of which were trying to dominate their part of the forum. Me included. On Ultima-Java I was the dominant one… and look at the mess I made.

So we didn't have the problems with incompatable personalities, but the forum was dead. The re was no life, no spark. So I set out on a crusade to try and get back the ones who were there when we knew the soul of the forums, when the forums would bloom. They have come back to Ultima-Java, and together we're going to make it a hell of alot better than it was.

We're going to give that spark back to the forums! I'd like to thanks everyone who came back from SOoO, Cat, Sever, Chicago.

Also to let everyone know that Cat has become the newest member of the Ultima-Java Staff. She was with us from the start back in 2005, but after the fall of SOoO she felt like she needed a break from the forums. There has always been a place for her here, and now shes back to fill it! We're so glad your back!

And also a big welcome back to Cheshire Thief, it's good to have him back on the forum too. He was also with us from the first incarnation of Ultima-Java, and a member of SOoO. However due to an unpleasent buisess CT was no longer a member of Ultima-Java, but he has that spark. That little bit of what makes the forum special. We're glad your back too!

Been a busy month for me, and for UJCM as a whole with new Writer's Block members in the team and future comics on the trot. Remember, all new members to the Writer's Block forum must sign up with their real name for copyright and clarity purposes.

Also, speaking of comics, we have a new affiliate, Pebble Version by Josiah Lebowitz. Pebble Version is an comedy sprite comic based in the Pokemon world with over 700 strips, following the (mis)adventures of Brendan and May, two young pokemon trainers. I've only read from the first set of archives, but it's a very enjoyable comic, and I recommend it to anyone who likes sprites, pokemon, or a good laugh.

It is my sad duty to inform you, that I will be cancelling World Heroes. There are many reasons for me to do this, it hasn't got quite the response I was hoping for, it's not really all that funny, and I'm starting dislkie using sprites in this way. Really they are only good for game parodies.

Anywho, World Heroes will return later this year when I have time to acctually draw the comic insted. I will be revisiting some of the old ones and coming up with some new ideas.

If you enjoyed this, the remake will be better.

Thanks for sticking with us!
